JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
Implement and support SAP APO solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.
Gather and analyze business requirements related to supply chain planning, demand planning, production planning, and optimization processes.
Configure SAP APO modules including Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP), and Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) to support end-to-end planning processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Production, Sales, and Logistics to design and optimize supply chain planning processes.
Provide guidance and support to end-users during system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
Conduct training sessions and create documentation to ensure effective utilization of SAP APO functionalities.
Perform system testing, validation, and support for SAP APO modules, including defect resolution and performance optimization.
Participate in project planning, scoping, estimation, and resource allocation for SAP APO implementations and enhancement projects.
Stay updated on SAP APO module enhancements, new releases, and industry trends to provide recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.
Assist in the development of SAP APO-related policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field. Advanced degree or SAP certification is a plus.
Proven experience (X years) working as a SAP APO Consultant or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in SAP APO implementations, configuration, and support.
In-depth knowledge of SAP APO module functionalities including demand planning, supply network planning, production planning, and optimization.
Strong understanding of integration points between SAP APO and other SAP modules such as SAP ECC, SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning), and SAP BW (Business Warehouse).
Experience in gathering business requirements, conducting workshops, and designing SAP APO solutions to meet business needs.
Proficiency in SAP APO configuration, customization, and enhancement techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP APO issues.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally for project assignments or client meetings, as required.
