JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. SAP BO Solution Development:

    • Design and develop SAP BO universes using Universe Designer to provide business users with a semantic layer for accessing and analyzing data.
    • Develop and customize SAP BO Web Intelligence reports, Crystal Reports, and Dashboards to meet business reporting requirements.
    • Design and implement ad-hoc query capabilities and self-service BI functionalities for business users.
  2. SAP BO Administration:

    • Install, configure, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects platform components, including SAP BO Enterprise, Information Design Tool, Central Management Console (CMC), and BI Launch Pad.
    • Manage user security and access controls, including user authentication, authorization, and role-based permissions.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of the BO environment.
  3. Data Integration and Connectivity:

    • Integrate SAP BusinessObjects with various data sources, including SAP ERP, SAP BW, relational databases, and flat files, to enable data retrieval and analysis.
    • Develop and maintain data connections, data sources, and data access interfaces within the BO environment.
  4. User Training and Support:

    • Provide training and support to business users on SAP BusinessObjects tools and functionalities, including report creation, data analysis, and dashboard usage.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical assistance, and address user needs.
  5. Documentation and Documentation:

    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, installation guides, user manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with best practices, standards, and guidelines for SAP BusinessObjects development and administration.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - BusinessObjects) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a SAP BusinessObjects Developer/Administrator or similar role, with hands-on experience in SAP BO tools and technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects architecture, components, and functionalities, including universes, reports, dashboards, and administration.
  • Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Universe Designer, Information Design Tool, and other BO tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
