JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Implementation and Configuration:

   • Configure SAP PP module according to business requirements, including master data setup, organizational structure definition, and system customization.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP PP with other SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Finance (FI).

2. Production Planning and Scheduling:

   • Design and implement production planning strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and meet customer demand.
   • Develop production schedules, including material requirements planning (MRP), capacity planning, and scheduling algorithms.

3. Bill of Material (BOM) and Routing Management:

   • Define and maintain bill of materials (BOMs), work centers, and routing sequences in SAP PP.
   • Ensure accuracy and consistency of production data across SAP modules, including materials, operations, and resources.

4. Production Order Management:

   • Manage production orders throughout the production lifecycle, from creation to completion.
   • Monitor production progress, track work-in-progress (WIP), and resolve issues related to production orders and shop floor activities.

5. Shop Floor Control:

   • Implement shop floor control mechanisms to monitor and control production activities in real-time.
   • Integrate with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and IoT devices to capture production data and performance metrics.

6. Capacity Planning and Optimization:

   • Conduct capacity planning analyses to identify production bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and improve production efficiency.
   • Develop strategies for balancing workload across production resources and work centers.

7. Reporting and Analytics:

   • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to provide insights into production performance, capacity utilization, and production costs.
   • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

8. User Training and Support:

   • Provide training and support to end-users on SAP PP functionalities, processes, and best practices.
   • Address user queries, issues, and enhancement requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• SAP certification in Production Planning (PP) preferred.
• X years of experience as an SAP PP Consultant or similar role, with hands-on experience in SAP PP configuration and implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP PP functionalities, including production planning, shop floor control, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Project management skills and experience managing end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
